We made it through the first day of school! Well Alex gets home in 26 minutes so I guess the tally is still out but I have high expectations for that one. Over the summer I thought this day would never come and then some how last night it crept up on me and I wasn't as prepared as I thought I would be. Last night Alex gave me the puppy dog eyes asking me to meet her at school in the morning like I did for her first day last year. After a few pleads, I gave in and then this morning as I was walking her to her room she assured me that she could find room #4 just fine and hurried on ahead without me. Johnny is at a new preschool this year but his teacher was also his nursery teacher last year and he knows a few of the kids in his class from primary. He was a little shy when we first arrived but was still to cool to be coddled by his Mom. It was nice to see how excited he was about his first day back at school when I went to pick him up. Now Johnny and Hunter are anxiously awaiting Alex's school bus as they have been asking about her all afternoon. I remember sitting out front with Alex when she was only a year old and waving at the same school bus as it drove by our house. I can't believe she's riding it home now. She doesn't get home until 4pm, not much sooner than her Dad. A schedule that will take some getting used to for both of us I'm sure.

This entire week we also get to have my nephew Ethan at our house while his parents get away to Hawaii. Johnny is in heaven with a round the clock friend at his disposal. Then tomorrow
