Happy Father's Day!!!

Confused?

Well since the kids and I will be in California on Father's Day and this is the last Sunday we'll all be together as a family for the month of June, I decided we'd celebrate Father's Day. Brad got his BBQ this weekend that he has been wanting so it just fit. I didn't decide it until last night around 9pm though so the kids were surprised when they woke up and we were making cards and preparing breakfast for Dad's special day. My favorite card of Alex's though is this:

Any guesses on what it is? I can just imagine her thinking in her head as she's drawing it "I just know he'll love this picture the best!" Yes, it's our TV remote. Not a bad rendition either.

A few things for Brad to remember about his kids this Father's Day:

Last night we were reading in D&C about the mobs and talking about why they did the things that they did. We talked about Satan and Alex tells me that "sometime I listen to Satan and sometimes I don't". I'm thinking in my head about all the times she's teased or hit her brother and try to console her that she isn't neccesarily "listening to Satan" but that he does want us to make bad choices. And she says "well, sometimes I spill the juice and the ants come into our house". And once (like a year ago) she took the big pitcher of juice out of the fridge to poor herself a glass, even though she knew she wasn't suppose to and spilled it all over the floor and we did get ants. I guess Satan told her to do that one.

Last night she couldn't find her stuffed Elephants she sleeps with at night. They are both named "Ellie" and so Brad was downstairs looking all over for them. He calls up to her, where did you have them last? Alex: "Just look for a big pile of pink!" Uh, thanks Alex.

And last night she had a nightmare and like she always does she comes into our room and goes directly over to Brad for comfort. Dad is best at driving away the bad dreams.

And for Johnny I just want to remember that he attaches an "a" onto the end of every sentence these days.
"Going Mommy-a?"
"Daddy get me-a!"
"I go pee pee-a!"
"Me too-a!"
"Sissy silly-a!"

Happy Father's Day Brad! I couldn't ask for a better Father for my two precious kids!

Cute! love the drawing of the remote! It'll be so nice in awhile to be able to upload your whole blog to blurb.com and make it into a book. All these pictures are so much fun when accompanied with stories.
