Happy Independence!

Happy 4th of July! We spent the weekend in Cascade at the cabin. The kids got to play all day with their cousins, exploring, finding "treasure" and building forts. We caught the parade in town that morning, here are a few highlights.

Johnny made friends quickly with the people next to us who assisted him in gathering the candy being thrown in our direction. Or at times he just put his bucket out in front of him hoping they would make a basket and he wouldn't have to collect the candy at all. Can you say "lazy"?

We got a cool fly by from a nearby airbase.
(I'm sure my Dad or brother could tell me what kind of planes these are.)

The kids got more than their fair share of popsicles that were being handed out.
After the parade we all met up at the lake for a little swimming.

Here's a shot of my newest little nephew, Aiden Castleton.

And one of my next-to-newest little nephew, Weston Woodward.
It was nice to be able to hold them and play with them all weekend and then pass them off to their Mom's when they got fussy.

We ended the weekend with a BBQ and fireworks at Tiffany's house. Everyone was exhausted so we set off the fireworks before it got dark but the kids enjoyed them just the same.

We were trying to use up the package of sparklers faster so we gave them to the kids in threes!

Hope you all had a great Independence!
