What are Dairy Days?

For the first time in our 7 years of living in Meridian we went to see what Dairy Days was all about. So what is Dairy Days you might ask? A healthy reminder to have your 3 servings a day of dairy? An odd excuse for the citizens of Meridian to get together and eat breakfast in the evening? Although we did participate in the 5pm pancake feed, for us, Dairy Days was all about the rides. Most of the rides consisted of carousels, meri-go-rounds and bumper cars. However we got the kids on one ride that they were a little under aged for where you swing like a pendulum, with your stomach dropping each time you reached the top and started your descent back down. Unfortunately I wasn't thinking of Alex too much when we got on and we all jumped on the back of the ship where you can get the most height out of the experience. After awhile of listening to her uncle joking around about loosing his dinner Alex started to feel a little sick and also a little scared. But at the end of the day when I asked her which was her favorite ride she told me that it was the pirate ship that made her sick. So what can you say except I assume she will one day be a fan of larger amusement park rides. Johnny felt jipped any time we went on a ride without him but they did let him hop on the carousel and ride a horse around for a thrill. That and the cotton candy topped of his evening and made him one happy camper. So Happy Dairy Days and don't forget... "Three a Day of Dairy"!

Laurel, you are officially a cool mom. Nice picture of the ride, did brad take that? That's some skill.
